Privacy policy

Your money stays on your phone.

Waldazz is a money forecasting app made by Yong Caballero (YC CREAT1VES I.T. SOLUTIONS). This page explains, in plain words, what it keeps, what it reaches out to the internet for, and how you can delete it.

The short version

What Waldazz keeps, and where

What you enter, such as your accounts and balances, bills and income, payments, spends, loans and utang, paluwagan, savings goals, padala and balikbayan boxes, lotto tickets, notes and receipt photos, is saved in a database inside the app's own storage on your phone. Other apps can't read it, and it isn't uploaded anywhere.

Receipt photos you take or pick, for a spend or a payment, are copied into that same private storage, so they stay even if you delete the original.

My IDs

If you use My IDs, the photos of your IDs (front and back), their numbers, expiry dates and notes are kept in a separate part of the app's private storage on your phone. They're never put in your Photos app, never included in backup files, and never sent anywhere. My IDs asks for Face ID, your fingerprint or your phone's passcode every time you open it, even when the app lock is off, and the screen is covered in the app switcher. Expiry reminders are scheduled on your phone. Deleting an ID deletes its photos; More → Erase all data deletes them all.

For a driver's license, you can also keep a photo of the renewal receipt that shows your medical exam schedule. It's kept with the license, under the same rules: on your phone only, behind Face ID, never in backups. The exam dates are read from it on your phone, and the reminders for them are scheduled on your phone.

My cards

If you use My cards, the photos of your bank cards (front and back) are kept in the same private part of the app's storage as My IDs. The card number and CVV are kept in your phone's keychain, set to this device only: they can't be read while the phone is locked, aren't moved to another phone, and aren't in iCloud or iTunes backups. Only the bank's name, the last four digits and the expiry month are kept in Waldazz's own data, so the list can show which card is which. Nothing about your cards is ever sent anywhere, and Waldazz never uses them to pay for anything. My cards asks for Face ID, your fingerprint or your passcode like My IDs. When you copy a card's number, expiry or CVV, Waldazz clears it from the clipboard a minute later. Deleting a card deletes its photos and its keychain entry; More → Erase all data deletes them all.

My vehicles

If you use My vehicles, the photos of a vehicle's OR and CR, its name, plate number, registration and insurance dates and notes are kept in the same private part of the app's storage as My IDs. They're never put in your Photos app, never included in backup files, and never sent anywhere, and My vehicles asks for Face ID, your fingerprint or your passcode like My IDs. The registration's renewal dates are read from the OR photo on your phone, or suggested from the plate number using LTO's usual schedule, and the reminders are scheduled on your phone. Deleting a vehicle deletes its photos; More → Erase all data deletes them all.

Reading IDs, cards and papers from their photos

When you take a photo of an ID, a card, a vehicle's OR or a medical exam receipt, Waldazz reads the text on it to fill in the form for you, using the text recognition built into your phone (Apple's Vision on iPhone, Google's ML Kit on Android). This happens on your phone: the photo and the text are never sent to Waldazz, to an AI service or anywhere else, and nothing is saved until you check the form and tap Save.

If you're based abroad

Turning on Are you based abroad? shows the parts for OFWs. Padala (who receives it, the amount, the remittance fee and what they receive in pesos) and balikbayan boxes (what's inside, the forwarder, the tracking number, the ship date and the expected arrival) are saved like any other item: on your phone, and in your backup files. Waldazz never looks up a tracking number online and doesn't contact any remittance company or forwarder. "They receive" is worked out on your phone from the BSP rates already saved for the currency converter, and you can type the rate you were actually given.

Picking a currency only changes how amounts are shown. If you move or come home and choose to convert everything, the conversion is done on your phone at the rate you confirm. Nothing about your currency, your contract dates or your padala is sent anywhere.

What goes over the internet

Waldazz sends nothing about you. It only reads two kinds of public information:

Like any visit to a website, those sites see an ordinary request from your phone (such as its internet address). Waldazz doesn't add anything to it: no name, no account, no money information.

Links in the app, such as the PCSO results page or this website, open in your browser, where those sites' own privacy policies apply.

Permissions the app asks for

Camera

Only when you tap the camera button to snap a receipt, or take a photo of an ID, a card, a vehicle's OR or CR, or a medical exam receipt in your wallet. The photo stays on your phone.

Photos

When you attach a receipt, ID, card or vehicle photo from your gallery, your phone's own photo picker opens and Waldazz receives only the photo you choose. It can't see the rest of your gallery.

Notifications

For the ones you leave on in More → Notifications: payment reminders, low-balance heads-ups, a payday note, overdue bills, an evening reminder to log your spends, lotto results, ID and card expiry, medical exam schedules, vehicle registration and insurance, and, if you're based abroad, the end of your contract. They're worked out and scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from a server.

Fingerprint or Face ID

If you turn on the app lock, and every time you open My IDs, My cards or My vehicles. Your phone checks your fingerprint or face; Waldazz is only told whether it matched and never sees the fingerprint or face data.

Backups and messages you send

When you make a backup, Waldazz creates a file and opens your phone's share sheet. You decide where it goes (for example Google Drive, email or your files), and from then on that service's privacy policy applies to that copy. Receipt photos, My IDs, My cards and My vehicles aren't included. Restoring reads a backup file you pick.

An utang reminder opens your phone's share sheet with a ready-made message. You choose the app and the person, and you send it yourself. Waldazz doesn't send messages or read your contacts.

Payments

If you buy or subscribe to the full version inside Waldazz, the payment, renewals and cancellations are handled entirely by the App Store (or Google Play on Android). Waldazz never sees your card or account details; on your phone it only checks with the store whether the full version is active, so it can unlock the features. Apple's (or Google's) privacy policy covers the payment.

Who Waldazz is for

Waldazz is meant for adults managing their own money. It isn't directed at children, and its PCSO Lotto tools are for players 18 and over, as Philippine law requires.

Deleting your information

Go to More → Erase all data to delete every account, item, payment and receipt on your phone, or simply uninstall the app. Because Waldazz keeps nothing on servers, there's nothing else to ask us to delete. Backup files you shared elsewhere stay wherever you put them, and you can delete them there.

Changes to this policy

If Waldazz starts handling information differently, this page will be updated first, with a new date below.
